I believe another Ranger post mentioned blocking the top grill completely and keeping the bottom one open.
I just picked up a Ranger too. I4, 5spd. I'll be trying the above mod. Should have that taken care of next week. Also a front air dam, shortly.
And I'll be keeping an eye out for some hubcaps.
