Temperature is increasing because of increasing carbon dioxide (this time) and I have seen an estimate that we will inevitably see 1.5C even if we stopped all burning of fossil carbon fuels. But it won't be linear, because there will be feedback loops - and we do not know precisely what the various tipping points will be.
Here's so new information on the ice in Greenland:
I did not know that Greenland is an atoll, and there are at least 4 fjords that connect from the inner valley out to the ocean.
