Unfortunately it probably won't (the generator circuit design is stupid (cheap and light, I guess) on most bikes - the generated power depends on the revs only and it converts the excess power to heat). Replacing them (to LEDs, for example) means less burden on the battery, though.
Comes handy when you turn off the engine.
Oh, and about cheap sprockets: the chain Hyosung put on our bike in the factory was essentially dead within 15k km, and we're not alone with it. Not very convincing about its quality, is it?
The one we got after that one is definitely better.
