Even with lead acid batteries I waste less time charging my electric car then I do filling my gas car at gas stations, why? because my electric car doesn't need me standing there watching it charge, I charge it at night, I charge it at work, I just plug it in and walk away! I don't want to have to stand there for 10 minutes and wait, I want to be doing other stuff.
Driving is my least favorite thing to do, I don't want to do a cross country road trip in my electric car, I want to get a ride to the air port shuttle and fly, or take a train or buss and this is a growing trend, it is one of the few trends that gives me hope, the trend of people who would rather spend as little time driving as possible, to me that is a much better solution then trying to find a way to continue our bad habits.
