A pure sine wave inverter produces an almost accurate sine wave output less than 3% total harmonic distortion that is basically the same as utility supplied grid power. The output is well-suited with all AC electronic devices. Its design is difficult, and costs more. Inductive loads like microwave ovens and motors run faster, quietly and can produce less heat.
