What about zip rivet, as opposed to pop rivet?
It would describe its function so if you show it next everyone will understand what it is.
Also you'd see the advantages compared to traditional rivets; no special tool needed, can tie surfaces that aren't close together.
For other languages you could just use their word for rivet, if "rivet" offends them.

Google is your friend. If you see your aspiring brand name is predominantly used in shady webforums to describe local politicians in your target market, you know you would need a rethink.
