Actually, I have been toying with the idea of multiple license plate looking graphics on the rear. The main problem, aside from questionable legality, is that there isn't much space on that rear hatch to execute complex or large graphics. One I idea I had was to tilt the license plate down and build a kind of "roof" over it to conceal it from above. But again, this is blatant law evasion.

I came across this today... it's similar. Talks about subtly evading facial recognition cameras and software in public by using special "high fashion" inspired makeup (see Merrill Garbus, etc) to disrupt facial patterns and avoid detection.

The same would apply to any license plate concealment. If it's effective, it's GOT to be subtle and apparently harmless. I've been mulling it over for months- maybe even years- and have no solution yet.

Am I getting too technical? After work I bought some "eye black" makeup intended for baseball to see what I can come up with. Facebook has facial recognition software, so I'd like to fool that first. Who knows- this stuff could come in handy in urban exploration.
