I installed my MPGuino in my 94 Civic VX in a location which I found on ecomodder.com. Right under the tach. It fits in there so perfectly, you'd think the engineers left space in the gauges just for it.
As for the buttons, I bought some radio shack ones, but didn't like the look of them. So while in a parts yard I found a power mirror switch from an Acura which looked like it would fit in the stock mirror switch location on the VX. In the end it was close, but not exact, but close enough for me. Because I got it from the parts yard I was able to cut off the harness as well. From there it was pretty easy using a continuity tester to figure out which wires went to which buttons. So using LEFT,UP,RIGHT as buttons 1,2,3 I now have a pretty stock looking set up. I see the 92-95 Civic mirror switches on ebay selling for $10 incl shipping. No harness, but if you're good with a soldering iron, thats no issue.
Thought I'd share if someone is looking for a more stock look for remote MPGuino buttons.
