My vote for rolled-his-own. The body is a simple curve from the front to rear wheels (look at the transitions in the sun's shadow line in the side view) and there isn't much crown in the front, rear and top. Possibly aluminum.
Pop-outs for side windows? Those would be more streamlined when open, but they'd be a pain on toll roads.
I wonder what the windshield is.
