Yes, sadly it is. That's why it was $310 lol. The damage that "wrote it off" is actually the front bumper. Someone backed into it, and since it has those big wheels on it, it pushed the edges of the bumper into the tires. That car was NICE when I bought it for the guy. Whoever owned it obviously loved it, it was spotless, and has a neat aftermarket GTI style grill in it. What a waste. This is why I didn't call the insurance company when my Civic got bumped into - I'd rather put up with a little bit of damage than risk losing my car over something trivial.
