I am a fulltime Firefighter/Rescue Tech/Hazmat/EMT-B in North Carolina. I also help my wife at her elementary school. I just started here with my 2002 Honda Civic Si (hatchback one) I would love to get in the 40mpg gang, but my goal first is from 26mpg to 30mpg... This will be my last month of 95% city driving. YEAH!. I will be going to 95% highway =) soon. Also this is my first tank of trying out any conserving tips. Loving the neutral glide, espescially when my speed goes from 40 mph-60 mph. In the city I have some gradual down hills that I have to slow down or I could get pulled over. I actually passed someone coasting LOL on about a mile section. I wonder if I told the cop, "Well officer, I was trying to conserve gas." If that would work.
