So far,even at 345,000-miles the engine has no blow by,quite unlike the Dodge which has nothing but.
This residue had the stink of gasoline which had turned to varnish.
With the CVCC head,there's only a very lean mixture which makes it to the 'regular' intake valves and it doesn't do the fancy cleaning action so popular in recent gasoline advertizing.
There was no residue at all with the pre-combustion chamber manifold runners which are plumbed from a dedicated idle/low-speed carb throat.
Berryman's Carb/Choke cleaner took care of everything.
