I just tried the ecu p07-901 in an auto d15b7 to see if it shifts, out of park, no, other gears are fine except after a while the engine would get a real bad idle. So it seems you do need the corresponding ecu for transmission, I think the bad idle is due to the ecu looking for an entirely different engine. If the park feature would be the only problem then I would not care, but it can be a real expensive experiment (for me anyways) to find out. Any thoughts?
