She is back on the road, yay. Been driving her for 3 weeks and she is doing great. Best tank to date is 30mpg, I haven't been very nice to it though I am toning down now. Running to Boise @the begining of Aug. Going to try for 40mpg, did 37 on my last trip. Speed limit is 55mph for most of the 350mi. Current goals are 35 mpg on daily commutes and 40 mpg on trips. I replaced one side window with lexan, (neighbor kid decided it would be fun to bounce a scythe on the window) , got enough lexan to do the other side as well.running a engnbldr 268 cam, one belt for the water pump and alt. No ac , cruise, interior, power steering, clutch fan, ect...
Determined the previous cam was off a tooth, so "degreed" and the car ran hot, no good. Now it runs 10x better and seems to be slightly less senisitive to aero changes.
