I rented a gen 3 Prius in California to drive my brother, sister, and my Mom and I drove it 182 miles in 3 1/2 days and I used 2.782 gallons of gasoline. That is 65.4MPG in California traffic with 4 tall adults, with luggage from and to the airport.
Not bad, if I say so myself.
If we could have rented a Leaf, we would have doubled that...
