I've thrown out spare tire, sun visors (they're useless in my car and one of the bolts shook loose and disappeared), some storage compartment plastic, exhaust splash guard (for aero, it kind of sticks out awkwardly), header heat shields.

I want to throw out the power steering but I don't know how to replace the torsion spring with something solid. Itching to buy an AGM battery, but I shouldn't do that before this one is dead. Those would get curb weight below 2140lbs. I'm also considering throwing out the storage compartment doors for another 5lbs savings (and slightly more convenience). Not quite ready to get rid of H(V)AC yet though...it's nice to have sometimes. I would personally throw out the radio and speakers but allowing the passenger to tinker with it at the cost of 8 pounds is not so bad. Other weight reduction measures would cost a bit of money or functionality.
