The late Bob Parsons worked with glass (he did all the decorative glass for Steak and Ale Restaurants).
He told me that he'd successfully cut laminated safety glass by double-scoring it,then igniting a line of gasoline spread on one side along the score,then when heated,would snap it,parting the inner adhesive lamination.
I have some of the glass he gave me for experimentation.
Doing single-curve or compound-curve glass is supposed to be the real challenge.
If you do the dual Duke Kahanamoku redwood long-boards you MUST hang a leather strapped Tiki from the rearview! It's the law!
