Depending on flow, I'd hit up either TDI club (about 1" of pipe) OR a 1ton diesel truck forum for used EGR coolers that people removed. Common removal unfortunately. I have a spare TDI cooler (there is one in my car BTW) that I can take pics of if you'd like, it is slated for use as a waste heat collector on a generator at a friends house so you can't have it.
