In other words , what I am asking is whether or not the data will be flawed on the SuperMID if I input data that is slightly off due to not knowing the EXACT amount of fuel used to fill the tank.
Sometimes the gas pump will shut off before the tank is truly full. This could mean a flawed reading when you go to calculate the MPG.
Also, the manual says that I have a 11.9 gallon tank, yet I only seem to be able to fill up to 10 gallons. I fill up when my reading drops to around a 1/16th of an inch to 1/8" below the 'E' mark.
Is there really that much fuel still left in the tank ? ( almost two gallons )
I don't want to run the car empty to find out, but I wonder how large that the tank really is, since that is a very large variable to consider in finding the cars MPG.
