When you EOCed, was the ignition turned back to the on position? I only noticed it being difficult when I didn't bring it all the way back to the on position. And your engine temps will definitely go down while EOCing, obviously, lol, but your transmission in neutral shouldn't heat up since nothing is engaged or moving. I don't monitor mine at all, but like looking at Diesel Daves charts, EOC stops energy from being wasted, and his temps go down- one can see all of the little dips in his charts when he cuts the engine.

I know I feel comfortable, but I have never thought about my transmissions temperature. I guess all the years of seeing cars pulled behind RVs on the highway has brain washed me into thinking if it's safe to pull, and in neutral, nothing is happening- I think I just convinced myself to replace HP with Transmission temp on the UG lol. I still think it's okay, but I do see it could be an area of concern.
