That is 3mm thick ABS is stiff enough.
Freebeard design work before the tires perfectly.
I have plans to make it also closed from back side so it works also after tire. Try to get it from one piece sheet. First the shape is modeled is 3D and after that printed to paper and cut to shape and glued/vulcanised together. Finally attached to car frame like freebeards model
