YAMAHA Byson EV-X (Conversion - WIP)

A US$2200 donor bike

Here's what I had in mind :

1.Strip off everything (I don't need)
2.Salvage Magneto housing, half dipped coupling and gearbox
3.Redesign and make prototype of the gearbox housing
4.Integrate AC 3phase motor to gearbox & water jackets
5.Re-Design the flywheel (magneto housing)
6.Fibreglass/carbon fibre housing for electronics
7.Liquid cool everything
8.Ultracapacitors as charging buffers?

I had access to CNC machine and aluminum casting dept, that's why I decide to make my own motor & batteries mounting rather than welding some steel bars to the frame.

I was thinking about vehicle range up to 200km and top speed of about 96km/h (that's about 124mile, and 60mp/h)

I stumbled upon Heins Regenx on youtube, impressive demo, but no info on it, probably a hoax or something, the idea is sound (from my R&D point of view) of increasing motor effectiveness (low input big output), going to ask about this to those EE degree friends of mine.

So anyways I'm just starting this project few months ago, and I got plenty of research and designing to do.

So if there's anything you might wan't to add or some questions (and maybe critics) feel free to hop right in.
