Thus far I haven't read of anybody here who's trying to measure mileage based on pulling 20,000 down the highway on a gooseneck trailer............. Everybody is measuring mileage hauling their solitary butt down the highway!

Yes . . MPG figures around here are mainly a stunt. Lets max out that Honda CIvic to approved weight limits and then see how numbers work out (ton-mile a better approximation).

It's the subject for another thread, but there are a handful of us around who have an interest in "working" the truck. My truck is part of a dedicated combination (with 35' travel trailer) and I know of a couple of other men with the same basic config who I hope will add their experience.

There are plenty who have an interest commercially (hotshot, LTL) using pickups, but few do any mods as the useful life of the truck plus IRS rules pretty much cover what can/cannot be done.
