I've been using the Mobil 1 0w-20 in my Civic which also calls for 5w-30. The only issue I'm having is the oil filter won't hold the oil overnight. I've tried Mobil 1, Bosch and Denso filters. The oil light stays on for a few seconds after starting. Each filter came off the engine completely empty.

As far as oil pressure while running is concerned, I can brake in gear until the engine is shaking and bucking. The oil light stays off. It's the alternator light that will flicker when I do that. 208k miles on this engine.

I did top off the oil this summer with a quart of 0w-30 for a little extra protection since I don't have an oil pressure gauge.
