Not really, because there's not all that much to gain there, since a long-haul truck spends long hours at steady highway cruise, and (unlike most passenger vehicles) is not massively over-powered for that cruise mode. But if you keep up with news, you'll see quite a bit being done for stop & go applications, like UPS delivery trucks, garbage trucks, &c.

Also Hitachi has had a hybrid shovel out for a few years, Cat is making a quasi-hybrid dozer...
