I used WD40 on my motorcycle .
Especially in the ignition lock as that tended to get stuck over time.
Water gets in, and remains in it.
Poured in WD40 until it dripped out at the bottom.
Repeat regularly.
Made a bit of a mess.
But never had any keying issues after that.
