We probably would have bought a Prius C if there hadn't been a 2005 Prius in good shape for less than half the price sitting on the other side of the lot. The whole Prius family is very reliable. The only reason I wouldn't recommend one is if you'll leave it sitting for more than 2-3 weeks because the high voltage battery doesn't like that.
