Trucks can haul more than What they are rated for. Its not recommended, but i do it all the time. It doesnt bottom out with 2000 lbs. My mazda b2200 can haul 2000 lbs in the bed. It has 1400 lbs of batteries plus my weight & whatever light load im hauling ( which has been as much as 5 to 600 lbs). When im at the scrap yard i see people with extremely dangerous weights. 2000 isnt too bad if you have good suspension.
