Hello from Ukraine :)
Hi!
my name i Andrey Akhnovsky, i'm from Ukraine.
more than 5 years i working with ethanol based motor fuels.
i converting cars to E85 and to pure ethanol here, in Ukraine, also producing devices for conversion for export, for example, E85 conversion kits for injection cars, and "small additional gas tank" cold start kits for using pure ethanol instead E85 (like in Brazil).
now i plan to made and maybe start to produce "warm intake air" system, but with automatic thermostat, mixing cold and hot air and holding constant temperature in intake (about +35C)
now i testing it on my cars:
Nissan Note 1.6 AT 2007
Nissan X-Trail 2.0 AT 2003
i have k-line adapter and software, and plan to make some "idling warm-up time" and "fuel consumption on constant speed" tests with and without this system this winter, in cold weather (0...-20C), and made some graphs and charts.
i think it will be good for gasoline engines, but my target is E85 converted engines.
one of lack of E85 fuel - significally longer warm-up time and much higher fuel consumption in winter, espesially at short runs in big city.
i hope warm intake air will fix it more or less.
i test this idea last winter and get a significant positive effect, but without presice measuring and automatic temperature regulation.
regards,
Obormot.
