I've got a '95 Cherokee with the 4.0 and manual trans. Enjoy sharing economy ideas for these capable little trucks. I've replaced steel wheels (25.5 lbs ea.) with Jeep "ecco" aluminum wheels (19 lbs ea.) for look and less unsprung weight. Mostly I keep the speed down when driving this brick-like Jeep here in Colorado and get in the low 20s MPG, with my long time thrifty driving techniques.
