October drill was canceled over some civilian thing and, between tests and appointments, I only ran twice in the month before the PT test, although I tried to do my push-ups. Somehow I managed to pass my run and set a personal record for push-ups, but I need to do much better in both categories. I had not done any sit-ups, flutterkicks, or anything, but I did seventy-nine sit-ups, with 76 being the cutoff. My Sergeants were telling me that I should have saved my energy for the run.

Since many Soldiers do not want to simply eat sanely and exercise regularly, apparently many do stupid things to drop weight for the PT test and then get sick, so now height and weight is thirty days after the APFT, so now people can fail their PT test and do worse things to themselves because they do not need to worry about passing the test. Me, I need to continue dieting for at least another month.
