Built up this bentech this summer. Put about 350 miles on it. Some of those were commute/errand type miles.

It is a great design and was available in plans, bent tubes or an unpainted frame. I wanted to hurry and get rolling so I went with the unpainted frame and used salvaged bike parts and a few new parts (wheels, cassette and chain).

I have access to a bunch of piper cub lift struts (FAA made unusable by grand edict). I am thinking of making a rans rifle or bacchetta clone (the bentech calls for a bent tube and the "aero" profile of the lift struts may not bend that well.
