You could boost a smaller battery with ultra caps to help crank your engine over.

I think it would work best with a LiFePO4 battery when cold. LiFePO4 batteries don't like the cold it really cuts into their cranking amps, this might work as an alternative to taking them in at night or building an over sized battery.
