I've already considered buying OEM plugs, wires, cap & rotor, pcv valve etc. I'm just attempting to do a little forward thinking in the event that a major tune-up doesn't resolve the issue of poor fuel economy. After all, I think that everyone can agree upon starting with the cheapest things first.
I'm presently running in the low 30's, whereas fuel economy has seemed to have dipped in the last two weeks. Tire pressure is even up to 40lbs.
Finally, when I pulled the O2 sensor, it looked very black; but so far, I'm not getting a check engine light.
