I would be concerned about such a light weight oil in warmer weather, though. What does it call for? would think 5w30 would be thinnest it could take without engine damage.

Still, good work. What economy did you get with the regular oil?

I know I get slightly better economy on thinner oil too. My Volvo takes 5w40 (if only I can find it) until it gets to 104 degrees F, and 5w30 up to 86F.

I could maybe run thinner than 5w30 in the winter, except Arkansas winters can include 86 degree days!

Any thoughts on using Lucas oil for one quart of an oil change when using thinner than recommended oil?
