Paver edging air dam question

Just want to apologize in advance.
I know this belongs in the aero section, but for some reason I'm not able to post there...

The lowest part of my pickup is 8" off the ground, and the lowest part of the front bumper is 12" off the ground. I know this would be covered up quite well by the lawn edging lip so many have done here, but it doesn't look oem enough to me.

When I had my Miata I used paver edging as a diy air dam, and it looked great, but it's only 2.5" tall, meaning that 1.5" of dirty underside would stick out below the dam.

That being said, would I see any noticeable gains from using the paver edging on my truck?
