I'm betting that under the hood he has a flip down grill and an electromagnet on a 50 foot long cord. On the freeway, he bumps up behind a semi truck, flips out the magnet, unreels the 50' of cord. Then puts the trans in Neutral keeps the engine running to power the magnet and probably only uses 1 gal per hour to idle it. Totally reasonable .... after a fashion.
The 0-60 in 3 seconds is also probably correct. He just uses a stopwatch with a 3:1 gear reduction so when the stopwatch clicks off 3 seconds, 9 seconds have passed in the real world.
Top speed of 185 mph? Sure, he probably has a 2x gear increaser on the speedometer cable so 92.5 reads off as 185!
