The Tempo listing is funny because it's supposed to be; it makes the point of the folly of making mpg claims on inadequate data points and short fills. The numbers and the methodology of the data gathering are accurate- or rather, typical- but yet we all know that car doesn't average 69 mpg.
The injector disable, should anyone not believe what they find online, is easy enough to try for yourselves. I think perhaps if a person figured out the resistance of their injectors and stuck resistors in the injector sockets that the CEL won't come on.
