I had a thermometer on top of my dash. It went off the scale at 70 Celsius (158 F) and frequently did that when parked in the sun, even with mild summer temperatures. In Holland.
My UG has a place inside the cockpit so direct sunlight can hardly reach it. And no trouble yet.
