That being the case, then the old timer would probably have the edge.
The 1906 Buick Touring Car was reported by Alex Tremulis to have the highest Cd ever recorded for a passenger car.It had no windshield,allowing ram air to slam it's parachute fabric roof.Tremulis reported around Cd 1.1 for the Buick (if memory serves me).
Since the racing car is roofless,we'd have to discount its drag compared to the Buick,so Cd 0.9 is just a S.W.A.G..
