My vote would be to go 55mph or 90km/hr (or less if you can), get the engine running to best efficiency (synthetic fluids in the gears & engine if possible), clean air/fuel filter, clean radiator/condenser, tires to a good pressure and just drive it with fuel economy in mind. I wouldn't bother modifying anything that would take away from its functionality or ability as it defeats its purpose. My 2c
