Hi,

the old engine was a "AAV" with monomotronic.
The new one get a sequential Multipoint injection, controlled with a "Trijekt".

This red Polo is my second. My first had a AAU Engine. No changes, full stock.
Best result -> 3,8l/100km (from tank full to empty)
Best result with the "new" one -> 3,3l/100km over 1250km (Highway)
