Has this been done before?
An array where garage roof mounted solar cells charge deep cycle batteries (maybe Nickel Iron as they are long lasting). Then at night these batteries charge the EV batteries for truly fossil free driving.
Would these work for "golf cart" sized EVs?
Would some additional solar panels on such lightweight EVs roof and bodywork be worth the added expense?
I'm thinking this for a taxi service in a touristic area in a developing county.
They are intended to replace auto rickshaws.
