Agreed,
I've parked "normally" a few times in shopping center car parks, only to find I'm way over the line, or at a funny angle, after I get out of the car, because the cars on both sides are parked the same way.

Spaces are hard to find, so I don't have any option but to leave it that way, but I do feel embarrassed when I return to find the other cars have left, leaving me the only idiot parked that way.
