Improving the milage on the new truck....

As I have said before, my plans for improvements to the 2013 Tundra we just purchased are; max out the tire pressures, change tires to Load range E's which allow 80PSI, bed cover, front air dam. I stopped by the tire place today and checked on trade in on our tires with 200 miles on them...$200. So a new set of BFG All Terrain's would be about $1000 out the door. If they gained 3 MPG it would take about 33,000 miles to break even...that doesn't sound worthwhile really. As I am on the first tank of gas, I have left the truck as it came from the dealer, at the first fill up I will increase the tire pressures to their max, 44PSI for the second tank. They are currently at 33PSI.... to enhance the ride no doubt. Our average speed so far is 18.2 MPH and Mileage is 12.9, but some of that was going through Saguaro National Park in the rain the other day with steep up and down slowly. The truck has power folding mirrors and when I get a chance on the highway, I will try folding them and see if there is any change. The MPG readout shows about 20 at 70MPH, we will see.
