The Myth, The Legend.

Finally decided to join after finding my name mentioned here a few times.

While is has been 9 years since my 93 DX HB got a best of 53 mpg and dynoed with 121 whp/145 chp I will be doing more testing in my 89 CRX HF with Si/ZC driveline.

Better Performance AND Economy has always been my goal as well as lower pollution output per mile than from factory.

Currently the 89 CRX I own was setup for SCCA Autoxing. Doing nothing to the car after I bought it I got 44 mpg highway. First upgrade was super lightweight Miata wheels and Bridgestone Escopia LRR tires. Inflated to 35 psi mileage jumped to 46 mpg. Later I pumped them up to 48F/45R and first result was 49 mpg.

The original goal was 50 mpg/500 mile per tank. That is well within reach without ANY aero mods.
