It's coming along fairly well. I changed the engine to a 2011 CBR250r. This gave me another 18 inches of space for the seats. I was going to change the steering system but that just would not give my 6 feet and 205 pounds enough room. This way the dimensions are as large or greater than those in the Fiesta. My head is behind the second roll bar and I have 4 inches of head room barely enough to wear a helmet.
Some detail of the front engine mount. We welded that together yesterday.
After a shower, sitting in my recliner, the phone rings. My buddy who owns a motorcycle salvage business calls me and offers me a whole CBR for $600. I told him I'd give him $600 and take what I wanted and he could keep the rest. He can make a better profit and I don't have to buy the parts separately.
He told me the radiator was smashed, so I had one spotted on ebay and grabbed that. Should be everything I need to get it moving on it's own power.
Next will be the brakes, so I can stop it and maybe something a little stronger than wire ties to hold the steering wheel in place.
regards
