Yes! I'm not too proud to buy one that has been put together by someone else.
The interesting portion of Open Source for me is that I don't have to bet that a specific company will be in business for the next 5 - 10 years. With schematics, bill of material, and documentation I can likely get it fixed (by me or by others if necessary)
