That one that sold at auction for $198,000 was an over-restored '63. I've stood next to (but didn't touch) one that was better. A Chesnut Brown/Sealing Wax Red 23-window 1954 barndoor bus—original show-room condition with right hand drive! I owned a basket-case '54 barndoor.

Part of the reason is the Fed is printing money so fast. It has to go somewhere so there is selective inflation in some things like fine art and old VW buses.

FYI, this is fiberglass.


They said (a few years ago) they were producing 4 a month.
