The highway figure for my Fiesta is 38 US. The wifes Sorento was 32 US. On the exact same route under similar conditions I might barely break 32 in the Sorento. The Fiesta would easily beat 50 MPG. Kia later dropped the highway figure to 29 if memory serves me, but the basically identical 2014 model is down to 27 highway. Kia is paying her about $100 a year as their proposed settlement, which covers the difference in fuel based on her annual mileage. They have considered a one time payment. I don't think either method covers the difference in used value when it does not get 32 highway as they claimed when we bought the SUV.

I think they should give her a couple of grand in a lump sum.
